Vista price cuts show how much trouble Microsoft is in | The Digital Home - Don Reisinger's take on the tech closest to home - CNET Blogs

Let me explain why Vista is not going away like everyone thinks. Vista is getting huge sales numbers. My laptop came with Vista on it, however, I used my company's MSDN license to put XP on it. Vista gets the credit for a sale. To the folks in Redmond, Vista is doing fine. It's here to stay... at least until Windows 7 comes out.

Top 10 Worst Captchas | John M Willis ESM Blog

This isn't a crappy tech story, but more a tech story about crap. Captchas. Everyone hates them, if you ask me, its a lazy way of avoiding bots. In the end, it'll get cracked anyway. So why not devise a better to determine that I'm a human. The 6th one down is my favorite... or is it least favorite since I hate them...

Comcast F.C.C. Hearing Strategy - Portfolio.com

When it comes to choosing which crappy service providing mega-company to fill my 50" tv with HD programming and my computer with > 3Mb/s internet, it's a decision to choose the lessor of two evils. Let's hope cases like this one knock some sense into these idiots.

MAKE: Blog: HOW TO - Make plants talk! They'll Twitter you when they need to be watered (and more)...

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say there won't be many people using this. If you're into gardening, I think you'd be a little more attentive to your plants needs. You're not going to wait until you see a post saying you're plant needs water. Whats next, a twitter post saying my dog needs breakfast??

Geek squad is a pretty big rip off anyway. If you're going to use them, you might as well pay a friend who knows computers. At least that way you'll know the person who works on your computer.

Good Eatin: A Steak Toaster. Did You Hear Me? I Said a Steak Toaster

Whoa, hold on there, all the juices drain down??? I got two problems with that. 1) It looks like an inverted George Foreman grill. 2) Why in the world would you want to get rid of the juices. Health!?! If you're eating a steak, you're probably not sticking to your diet. I'm guessing you have a side of mashed potatoes and a buttery vegetable. Then comes the alcohol.

Commodore 64 games coming to the Virtual Console

This is cool, but i'm starting to believe Nintendo is too lazy to make some good games. Instead, they're going around buying up all the old systems. As a Wii owner, I'd like to see some solid Wii games.
